Introduction to SAS

Due to the success of the first workshop offered at the University of Ottawa, we are offering the same workshop again on July 27 at Carleton University. This free workshop will provide a basic introduction to SAS analytical software using an informal and hands-on approach. No previous experience is required. The following topics will be covered: • Getting started • Accessing and reading in data • Modifying data • Merging data • Doing some simple data analysis Discussion will be encouraged throughout the workshop. This workshop is organized by the COOL RDC and will be given in English. Only students from area colleges and universities can participate. Because of the limited number of available work stations, the number of participants will be limited to 10.

Date: Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

Location: Library Instruction Center, Carleton University Library, Room 102

Intended audience: No previous experience is required. The seminar is opened to students from area colleges and universities.
